State-of-the-art facilities are available to provide laboratory-based instruction in key topic areas. A senior design seminar ending with a capstone design course rounds out the program. The curriculum is built around a strong basic core of mathematics, physics, and engineering science. This degree program is designed to prepare graduates for high-level engineering positions in design, development, research, applications, and operation in the fields of communications, control systems, digital signal processing systems, electromagnetics, digital and analog electronic circuits, physical electronics, and power systems. Students complete 68 units of junior and senior level engineering, capstone general education, and math coursework. The cohort model emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among students and offers a strong support system as you progress through the program. The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Antelope Valley program is offered as an undergraduate extension program in the College of Engineering. Participants must have completed their first two years of coursework at a community college or another university. Classes are held at the Lancaster University Center in the Antelope Valley area, providing unprecedented access to the aerospace industry, including internships with local companies and organizations.
